PURPOSE:To polish tube holes in a plurality of headers, simultaneously, and to wind up these headers onto a reel so as to make it possible to store them, by connecting shafts in which abrasive materials are fitted, header shafts in which sleeves and polishing materials are fitted, and a rotary drive machine with each other by use of universal joints. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 1, a reel 2, a belt feeder 13, a guide 16 and the like which are held by a positioning device or the like, are aligned with hole positions by means of a hole position detecting device, and the belt feeder 13 on a pay-out machine is started to advance shafts 7 for headers to predetermined positions and then stop thereat. Next a rotary drive machine 6 is started, and at this time, the belt feeder 13 holds the outer surface of the rotary drive machine 6 so as to secure the machine in order to support the reaction force of the drive machine 6 due to rotation. Tube holes in headers 8 is protected by sleeves 9 on rotation, and tube holes in headers 10 are polished by abrasive materials 11 on rotation. After completion of the working, the belt feeder 13 is reversed to retract the shaft 7 for the headers to predetermined positions, and then the reel 2 is associatingly driven.
