PURPOSE:To obtain an ergonomic stylus for a digitizer by providing the stylus with an angled tip part, angled push-button switch surfaces, nearly triangular cross section, and a blade part for rotation inhibition. CONSTITUTION:The cross section of the main body 2 of the stylus 1 is triangular and the stylus 1 is shaped so as to be gripped between the thumb and middle finger of one hand nearby a jagged area 6, and one of angled push buttons 3 is energized with the index finger. The tip 4 operates as the electric center part of a detection mechanism used in a digitizing process and the axis of the tip 4 is bent downward by 20 deg. to the long axis. Consequently, when the stylus 1 is held in the hand, the tip 4 becomes nearly perpendicular to a platen. The rotation inhibition blade part 5 at the end of the stylus 2 on the opposite side from the tip 4 has a long top surface edge 7 to prevent the stylus 1 from rotating and slanting when the stylus 1 is placed upside down.
