PURPOSE:To appropriately prevent color misregistering of images, by correcting a skew by utilizing a distortion of a recording paper generated when a recording paper supplying means is shifted by a shifting means. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a shifting means for moving an electrostatic recording paper roll 20 in a direction orthogonal to the feeding direction of a recording paper 21. When the roller 20 is shifted in the direction of an arrow X2, both side edges of the paper 21 are inclined to the left, so that each of recording lines 81-85 at a central part of the paper 21 tends to conform to a direction orthogonal to the side edges of the paper 21. As a result, each of the recording lines 81-85 at the central part of the paper 21 is skewed by a predetermined angle relative to a reference line 80 when the paper 21 is set in a reference position. Namely, when a skew indicated by a solid line is generated during an actual recording operation, the skew can be corrected by shifting the roll 20 in the direction of an arrow X1 to the broken-line position. Thus, stable and secure skew correction can be performed, and color misregistering of images can be appropriately prevented, with a simple construction.
