PURPOSE:To eliminate the possibility of invasion of water into a rotary electric machine, by a method wherein a mold member having a water extracting passageway is inserted into a space between a support, converting a water extracting hole, and an outer wall while a grommet is attached to the mold member. CONSTITUTION:A mold member 7 is inserted into a space between a support 5, covering a water extracting hole bored on a rear bracket 1, and an outer wall. The mold member 7 is provided with a water extracting passageway, communicating with the water extraction hole, and a tubular elastic grommet 8 is attached so as to communicating with the water extracting passageway. The water extracting hole is covered by the mold member 7 perfectly and the grommet 8 is deformed with respect to the flow of water.
