PURPOSE:To uniform all the cutting surfaces and make the surface roughness excellent by cutting monocrystal Y cutting surfaces keeping the cutting feed rate constant in the specified range. CONSTITUTION:An LiNbO3 monocrystal Y cutting surface shall be cut keeping the cutting feed rate constant in the range of 0.1mum/rev. or more to 0.5mum/rev. or less to reduce cutting stress and equalize the relation to cleavage planes in all directions. This leads to the equalization of all the cutting surface and the securement of excellent surface roughness and form accuracy and enables the load of polishing after machining, when required, to be reduced.
