PURPOSE:To shorten the disconnected time of communication as far as possible, by reaccommodating a subscriber accommodated in an optical fiber cable in which a fault in generated to another subscriber optical fiber cable by remote control. CONSTITUTION:When the fault is generated in the subscriber optical fiber cable 3b, a control signal is transmitted from a central telephone exchange via the metallic core 29a of subscriber optical fiber cable 10b, and the contacts 40-1 and 41-1 of a change-over switch 33-1 are separated from each other by a control device 35 incorporating a switching box 18, and the contact 40-1 is connected to the contact 42-1, and furthermore, the contacts 36-1 and 38-1 of a change-over switch 32-1 are separated from each other, and they are reconnected to the contacts 38-1 and 39-1. Consequently, the subscriber 2-1 accommodated in a defective subscriber optical fiber cable 3b is reaccommodated in the subscriber optical fiber cable 10b through a path of optical fiber cores 7d-1-30-1-28a-1. |
