PURPOSE:To prevent operation efficiency from being lowered, by providing a printing range changing means for changing display information on a printing range which has been displayed, and a printing range setting means for setting a printing range based on the information which is displayed on a printing range display means. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard 2 and a keyboard driver 72 constitute a document data input device, while a text memory 66 constitutes a document data storage means, and a printer 4 and a printer driver 74 constitute a printing device. An A4 size key 40, a B4 size key 42, a B5 size key 44 and a postal card size key 46 constitute a paper size designating means, while a display device 6 and a display controller 75 function both as a document data display means and a printing range display means. An end key 48, areas in a program memory 62 storing steps S8 and S9 and a CPU 60 for executing the steps constitute a printing range setting means.
