PURPOSE:To obtain a soil improving agent having not only fertilizer effects but also sterilizing and mothproofing effects together at a low cost, by containing a carbonized substance prepared by dry distilling and carbonizing chaff at a specific temperature as a principal component. CONSTITUTION:A soil improving agent, obtained by carbonizing chaff recovered in a threshing process while keeping at 150-200 deg.C below the evaporation temperature of wood tar in a state of no air supply (e.g. at 150 deg.C for 40min), extinguishing the fire and cooling the carbonized substance with cooling water and having slight smell of creosote of wood tar while holding the shape of the chaff. |
