PURPOSE:To use a telephone set without moving it or changing an extension number even if a change in the layout of an office occurs by providing an attachable and detachable console panel with an identification number on the side of the telephone set. CONSTITUTION:If the console panel P is detached from a telephone set mainbody T, a control part C detects that the console panel P is detached through an interface part IF, and informs the main unit M of disconnecting information I-1. If the console panel P is installed on the telephone set mainbody T, the control part C reads the identification number of the console panel P through the interface part IF and informs the main unit M of an identification number I-2. Thus, same subscriber data can be accessed in any telephone sets, and the telephone can be used without hindering its operation even if layout change in the office and temporary transfer of a place occur.
