PURPOSE:To cause composite signals to become coincidence signals by executing time base correction by means of a position on the time base of reference signals with horizontal scan frequency in reproduced composite video signals and the time position of the reference signals with horizontal scan frequency being the reference of time base correction. CONSTITUTION:A reproduced reference signal generation circuit 7 supplies a supplied horizontal synchronizing signal Sh to a trapezoidal signal generation circuit 8 as a reproduced reference signal. Time base error detection circuits 11r, 11g and 11b output signals corresponding to time base error between supplied trapezoidal signals and pilot signals in respective primary colors outputted from frequency demodulators 10r, l0g and 10b. Time base correctors 12r, 12g and 12b correct time base errors based on the same reference signal for respective primary colors by the correction control signals of time base errors supplied from the time base error detection circuits 11r, 11g and 11b. Thus, respective primary colors in the state of coincidence signals can be obtained.
