PURPOSE:To facilitate the setting and vice versa of a grindstone as well as to improve rigidity and make any thermal deformation being hard to be influenced, by installing a holding member capable of retracting from the specified position holding the other end of a center shaft at the time of jaw opening. CONSTITUTION:One end of a center shaft 61 is locked to a locking member of a wheel spindle head 60, and the other end is held by a V-shaped groove of a holding member 64 and a jaw 65 to be opened or closed in opposition to this groove. This jaw 65 is opened or closed by a hydraulic cylinder, and at the time of opening the jaw 65, the whole body of the holding member 64 is retreated from the specified center axis holding position by another hydraulic cylinder. In consequence, a grindstone 62 being held by the outer cylinder 63 supported by the center shaft 61 is easily removable.
