PURPOSE:To provide the title compsn. which has a high m.p., excellent mechanical strengths, melt flow characteristics and heat resistance and a low molding shrinkage factor and gives optical component supports having excellent dimensional accuracy, high-performance parts having high accuracy, etc., consisting mainly of a specified thermotropic liquid crystal polyester and a fibrous material. CONSTITUTION:A thermotropic liquid crystal polyester (A) having a weight- average MW of 2,000-20,000 and exhibiting anisotropy during melting, composed of a polyester(amide) consisting of a combination of at least member selected from the group consisting of an arom. or alicyclic dicarboxylic acid (a), an arom., alicyclic or aliph. diol (b), an arom, hydroxycarboxylic acid (c), an arom. thiolcarboxylic acid (d), an arom hydroxyamine, an arom. diamine (e), etc., (e.g., a combination of the component of formula I with the component of formula II or the components of formulas II and III), is blended with 20-60wt% (based on the amount of the compsn.) fibrous material (B) composed of glass fiber or carbon fiber having a tensile modulus of not lower than 6,000kg/mm<2>, a weight-average fiber length of 0.15-0.60mm and an aspect ratio of not lower than 10 to obtain the title compsn. having a molding shrinkage factor of <=0.5%. |
