PURPOSE:To secure the information sent to the reception side by providing an encrypted/detected KANJI (Chinese character) ROM comprising a KATAKANA (square-form Japanese syllabary)/KANJI conversion table so as to convert a plain sentence into a KANJI sentence without any meaning or vice versa. CONSTITUTION:In sending a transmission plain sentence 'it is fine today' with encryption, a KATAKANA conversion section 2 converts the sentence into a KATAKANA sentence 3 and sends the result to a transmitter 4. The transmitter 4 ciphers the KATAKANA sentence 3 by using the encrypted/decoded KANJI ROM 7 and a cryptographic sentence 'east, west, south, north, upper, lower, left, right' to a receiver 9 via a communication lien 8. In applying the ciphering, a KATAKANA 'ki' calls an address (c) at a coordinate X-2, Y-2 of the 'ki' of the KATAKANA/KANJI conversion table 6 programmed in the encrypted/decoded KANJI ROM 7. Then a KANJI 'east' registered at an address (d) corresponding to the address (c) of the coordinate X-2, Y-2 is called and ciphered.
