An overload coupling (13) has two concentric coupling parts (14, 16) which do not move relative to one another under normal loading. The overload coupling (13) furthermore has coupling elements in the form of two balls (98, 99) which are acted upon by a force-generating device in the form of a spring (97) with an exclusively radial force component. This provides the advantage of an extremely functionally reliable and compact coupling and, in particular, it is possible to mount the coupling elements directly on the parts to be protected against overloading. <IMAGE>
