The floats are composed of a sheet of closed-cell flexible foam having a density below 1.0, the inside surface of which bears an adhesive material, this sheet being shaped so as to fit closely, by pressing, at at least part of the spectacle frame. On the outside, the foam sheet has an impermeable layer, especially a latex paint layer. Application to all types of spectacles. <IMAGE>
