The invention relates to a directional toboggan intended for children and adults if the dimensions are suitable. The device according to the invention lies in the design of the load-bearing platform 1 and of the steering handlebars 2 in the form of aeroplane wings with front ailerons mounted over a grip 3. These handlebars have the characteristic of being able to be manoeuvred with the hands, the feet, or a short rope. This toboggan, like any other craft of this type, slides over snowy slopes by virtue of kinetic energy, but its originality lies in the fact that it is possible to move over flat ground and over a slight upward slope by virtue of muscular energy. In this uncustomary use, the design configuration of this toboggan makes it possible to adopt the appropriate position which is as follows: you sit down with your torso facing the handlebars, one leg is folded back under the pelvis, slightly to the side, the other remains free, away from the platform, to give the impulses and give speed to the craft. This muscular force makes it possible to slide the tobaggon over flat ground and up slight gradients at a not inconsiderable speed. <IMAGE>
