Switching arrangement for producing a DC control voltage responsive to an AC voltage, especially for the purpose of dynamic compression or expanision, having a first storage capacitor which is charged by way of a first charging circuit when the AC. Voltage lies to one side of a threshold value and discharged by way of a first discharging circuit when the AC. Voltage lies to the other side of said threshold, and a second storage capacitor which can be charged by way of a second charging circuit and discharged by way of second discharging circuit, and in which the second charging circuit includes a current path.
