摘要 <p>These improved acrylic fibres (1) have a tensile strength of at least 3.5 g/d (pref. 4 g/d), a toughness of 10 or more expressed as the prod. (TE (power) 1/2) of tensile strength (T g/d) and the square root of tensile elongation (E%). The fibres (1) contain 0.5 wt.% or more sulphur (pref. 8-20 wt.%). The fibres (1) are produced by heating acrylic fibres (2) having a tensile strength of at least 7 g/d in a sulphur contg. atmos. Fibres (2) are obtd. in a dry-wet spinning process from an acrylic polymer that has an ultimate viscosity of 2.5. Fibres (2) have a prefd. tensile strength of 10 g/d or more, a tensile elasticity of 180 g/d or more, and a knotting strength of 2.2 g/d or more. The composite material is obtd. by reinforcing with the fibres (1) (the fibres (1) make up 3 wt.% or more of the composite material).</p>
