ERASE CONTROL DEVICE FOR LEADING AND READ ENDS IMAGES IN COPYING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To prevent the surface of a photosensitive drum from the formation of an untransferred image by adjusting a margin part on the leading end of a transfer part and erasing unnecessary leading and read ends latent images transferred to the surface of the drum. CONSTITUTION:A paper feeding resist sensor 19 detects transfer paper 2 delivered from a paper feeding tray 1. A resist roll 6 is arranged on the downstream side of the sensor 19 to stop the carrying of the transfer paper 2 and restart the carrying again. On the other hand, an original regist sensor 13 detects the leading end of an original circulated in an original repeating part 11. An external resist adjusting dial sets up the transfer paper recarrying start delay time of the roll 6 to manually adjust a copying position to the transfer paper 2 and an eraser 20 erases unnecessary leading and rear end latent images formed on the photosensitive drum 7. A controller constituted of these respective parts is enabled to adjust the dimension of a margin part on the leading end of the transfer paper 2 in accordance with the adjusting value of the external resist adjusting dial and erases an unnecessary latent image from the rear end of the transfer paper detected by the sensor 19.
