PURPOSE:To utilize methane gas generated from sludge as fuel substitute by generating methane gas by installing a discharge pipe of sludge connecting to the outside to a night soil storage chamber. CONSTITUTION:A tank 2 is buried deeply from GL into the ground, and the inside of the tank 2 is separated to a left and right night soil storage chamber 4, 5 by a partition wall 3. A gas holder 6 is fitted to the upper opening of the tank 2 vertically movably, and a conducting pipe 7 for supplying the night soil is installed to the night soil storage chamber 4, and a sludge discharge pipe 8 communicating with the outside is installed to the night soil storage chamber 5. An upper end 7A of the conducting pipe 7 is connected to a night soil charging port 7B and the bottom end 7C of the pipe 7 opens at near the bottom of the storage chamber 4. The bottom end 8A of the discharge pipe 8 opens at near the bottom of the storage chamber 5 and the top end 8B opens at a discharging port 8C of the sludge.
