An electrical module is provided which displays its incorrect operation by means of a display unit. According to the invention, the display unit is not supplied via the main fuse of the module but via a further circuit whose failure simultaneously leads to failure of parts of the functional unit to which the module is assigned and which parts are necessary for operation. The failure of the main fuse in this case leads to power being supplied to the display unit, which is accordingly activated.
