A light-tight cassette for holding and dispensing a roll (25) of light-sensitive material wound onto a core (26), wherein the core is provided with extension members (27, 28) for lenghtening the core 26 whereby the roll may be rotatably journalled on the hubs (19) of a cassette that is in principle only suited for holding rolls with a core length which corresponds with the distance between the end walls (12,13) of the cassette.
