PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body having high acceptance potential and capable of forming an image with a small electrically charging current and a small amount of exposure light energy by forming as a charge transfer layer a film composed essentially of carbon out of a specified compound. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer is obtained by laminating on a substrate 14 a charge generating layer 12 and the charge transfer layer 13 of a film composed essentially of carbon made from the compound represented by the structural formula: X3C-CX3, X being halogen. It is preferred for said film to contain at least one of H, N, and O, and to be doped with an element of group III of the periodic table in an amount of <=5atom%, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to be given high acceptance potential and capable of forming an image with a small charging current and a small amount of exposure light energy. |
