PURPOSE:To form a visible image high in contrast free from disturbances of the edge parts of an image by using an insulating one component type developer composed of 2 kinds of toners different from each other, and having each one peak on the positive and negative sides of an electrification quantity distribution, and the peak reverse in polarity to an latent image higher than the other peak. CONSTITUTION:The insulating one component type developer to be used is composed of 2 kinds of toners different in hue from each other, and having each one peak of the positive and negative sides of an electrification quantity distribution, and the peak reverse in polarity to that of an latent image higher than the other peak. A preferable insulating one component type developer is a mixture of a colored toner having a peak reverse in polarity to the latent image and a colorless transparent toner having a peak same in polarity as the latent image, thus permitting the obtained visible image to be small in staining on the nonimage parts, free from disturbances on the edge parts of the image, and high in resolution in a noncontact development system. |
