PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of moisture to a thermal transfer color printer by providing a plurality of printing sheet heating means at positions not in contact with printing surfaces between a printing unit and the sheet end of a feed roll, and between a capstan roll and a platen roll. CONSTITUTION:Moisture contained when a printing sheet 2 is supplied from a sheet supply unit (b) through a recording sheet feed roller 11 to a printing unit (c) is removed by a heater 12, and a heat transfer recording with a thermally fusible ink sheet 3 is executed by a thermal head 1 without elongation nor shrinkage due to the influence of the moisture. The sheet 2 recorded by thermal transfer is exhausted through a feed roll 10, but also dehumidified by a heater 13 in a sheet exhausting unit (d). Thus, an accurate recording sheet feeding is performed without influence of the moisture. Therefore, it can eliminate the displacements of colors due to the moisture at the time of transferring. |
