发明名称 NON-SINTERED TYPE CADMIUM ANODE FOR ALKALINE STORAGE BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve a cycle characteristic in an alkaline storage battery, by adding tricobaltic tetroxide to a non-sintered type cadmium anode for the alkaline storage battery. CONSTITUTION:A non-sintered type cadmium anode for an alkaline storage battery consists of cadmium oxide or cadmium hydroxide as a main active material, metal cadmium as a precharging product and tricobaltic tetroxide. This tricobaltic tetroxide is a higher order cobalt oxide, it is stable even in an alkaline electrolyte solution, hard to be eluted, the addition effect is maintainable for a long period of time, and its effect is displayed by simply adding the tricobaltic tetroxide only and, what is more, no complexity on a manufacturing process is required. In this connection, as for additive quantity of the tricobaltic tetroxide, it is desirable to be more than 1 wt% to a cadmium active material, especially its effect is remarkable when adding 2 wt%.
