PURPOSE:To obtain a compact thermal printer head at a low cost or having a good functional performance, by a method wherein components of different materials are used for both driver IC loading part and recording electrode wiring part of a thermal head, and respective terminals are electrically connected. CONSTITUTION:Driver IC2 are loaded on a mother board 1 using glass epoxy as a component. Electrodes 3 run out from IC output terminals and are parallel wired at an equal pitch interval at the top of the mother board 1. Further, recording electrodes 6 are parallel formed at the same interval as that for the top of the electrode 3 also on a recording electrode wiring board 5 for which components having different materials (for instance, forsterite, mica cellamics, etc. easy to be polished), from that of the mother board 1 is used. In order to make the electrical connection of two parts abovementioned, the flexible wiring pattern board 4 on which a parallel pattern 7 of the same pitch as those abovementioned 3, 6 is formed is used, and both electrodes are connected by thermal pressure joining or the like. For a joint part, joining methods of metals or anisotropic conductive film and others such as soldering or the like are taken. |
