PURPOSE:To improve the yield and efficiency of production by providing prescribed grooves to a 1st block, joining said block to the 2nd block by low melting point glass to form a composite block, and slicing the composite block, thereby manufacturing magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The groove 14 is formed apart at a prescribed space from the groove 13 for winding in such a manner that a part 12a corresponding to a magnetic head part 20 remains to the 1st block 12 consisting of a ferromagnetic material. The block 12 and the 2nd block 11 are butted and are adhered by the low melting point glass 16. The grooves 18 for viscous laminar flow of air are formed to such composite block 17 and the block is sliced to obtain the magnetic head 19. Since the magnetic head core parts 20 of the head 19 are securely integrated to the slider 21 side by the glass 16 from both sides thereof, the bonding strength is high and the disengagement of the core part 20 is obviated. Prior to handling, unnecessary parts are removed, therefore the efficiency of removal work becomes high. The yield and efficiency of production are thereby improved. |
