PURPOSE:To obviate the generation of stains at the end parts of a photosensitive planographic form plate by coating said end parts with a thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:The end faces of the photosensitive planographic form plate formed by providing a photosensitive layer on an aluminum base having a hydrophilic surface are coated by heating the thermoplastic resin to melt and extruding the molten resin onto the film by an extrusion molding device to bring the resin into contact with the end faces. The generation of the stains at the end parts of the photosensitive planographic form plate is thereby prevented and the mass production of said plate is permitted.
