PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition containing a nitromethylene derivative and a compound having fungicidal activity such as validamycin as active components, exhibiting activity to control diseases as well as vermin of agricultural or horticultural crops and having low phytotoxicity and toxicity. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition contains a compound of formula (X is halogen, alkyl or alkoxy; n is 0, 1 or 2; m is 2 or 3) and a compound having fungicidal activity such as validamycin A,3'-iso-propoxy-2-methylbenzanilide, etc., at a weight ratio of 1:(0.1-10). The composition exhibits broad insecticidal and fungicidal spectra which cannot be attained by the separate use of each active compound. Blights of a plant can be controlled simultaneous to the control of vermin to enable the saving of labor. It is applied e.g. by foliar treatment, scattering in water or on the surface of water, application to soil, mixing with soil or application to a nursery box. |
