The invention relates to a device permitting the rapid and mechanised installation, as well as the structurisation, of flexible surfaces, such as plastic films, coverings or netting. The device consists of longitudinally slit hollow sections (profiles) 1, each including an internal rod 3 locked in place by one of its ends. The installation of the flexible surface 11, which includes sheaths 5, is performed by inserting the sheaths 5 into the free end of the sections (profiles) 1, sliding in these sections (profiles) 1 with penetration of the rods 3 into the sheaths 5, the flexible surface 11 being hauled by a movable assembly EM supported and guided by the sections (profiles) 1. The flexible surface 11 is tensioned by moving one or more of the sections (profiles) 1. The application of the device according to the invention resides principally in the covering of glass houses and agricultural shelters or the like, in the positioning of shading or darkening sheets, of various protective nets, aviary nets or game-part nets. <IMAGE>
