PURPOSE:To eliminate the change in the jitter quantity of signals in spite of a change in the humidity of use environment and to provide resistance to scratching to an optical recording medium by coating the section of an optical recording medium by coating the section of said medium where the medium contacts the outside field with a dielectric film, then coating said section further with a UV curing resin. CONSTITUTION:This optical recording medium makes recording, reproducing or erasing by the light projected to an optical recording layer 3 formed on a light transmissive resin substrate 1. The section of such recording medium where the medium contacts the outside field is coated with the dielectric film 8 and is further coated with the UV curing resin 9. The jitter quantity of the signals as against the humidity change of the outside environment is thereby decreased and the change in bit error rate is eventually decreased. Since the hardness of the substrate surface is increased, the scratching resistance is enhanced as well. |
