PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a uniform temperature distribution in a heating chamber by a method wherein a surface combustion type and catalyst combustion type gas burner having a heating surface equal in dimension to the sectional area of the heating chamber is provided. CONSTITUTION:The catalyst combustion type gas burner has the heating surface 4A which is substantially equal to the sectional area of the heating chamber 2 and is in the form of substantially a single flat plate. Further, the heating surface 4A is arranged to face the heating chamber 2 through a wall 5 consisting of a material (for example, heat resistant glass) capable of allowing the radiant heat to pass therethrough and is formed to obtain a uniform temperature distribution through the heating chamber 2 by utilizing the radiant heat discharged substantially uniformly from the whole of the heating surface 4A. |
