PURPOSE:To make the control state at the time of malfunction clear by judging whether or not there is abnormal data among data obtained by the respective detecting means from the correlation among the data or the storage contents of a table data storage means. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle speed 6, an accelerator stepping-in quantity 7, and a gear shift position 8 of the transmission are detected respectively and all gear shift position data and gear shift position data which are normally possible are stored 21 previously. Then a microprocessor (muP) 13 judges whether or not there is abnormal data among the obtained data from the correlation in the data or storage contents. If the muP 13 judges the presence of the abnormal data, respective corresponding detection data within a certain time, together with the abnormal data, are stored 19 and the gear shift control state at the time of the malfunction is made clear. Consequently, input signal abnormality from, for example, various sensors or control signal abnormality due to the malfunction of an electronic control unit itself is easily judged. |
