PURPOSE:To achieve a higher display recognizability, by indicating time and water depth alternately on a relatively large display device arranged near a lamp in the use of an electronic timepiece with a water depth meter at a dark place underwater. CONSTITUTION:When a user operates a switch SS of a water depth meter switch circuit 12 to start diving, a toggle type FF13 is inverted to output a water depth meter control signal PD and a water depth meter circuit 8 starts operation to output water depth information PS. Then, time and water depth are indicated on first and second display devices 7A and 7B respectively. As water depth increases, it becomes darker underwater and indication cannot be read out. So, a lamp switch SL is operated to light a lamp 19 while a display changeover control signal PC is inverted and goes to a 'H' level. Thus, a switching is made to indicate water depth on the relatively large device 7A and time on the device 7B. With the operation of the switch SL again, the indication is switched to show time on the device 7A and water depth on the device 7B thereby achieving a higher display recognizability. |
