PURPOSE:To obtain the title grout which permits ready control of gelation time and formation of consolidated matter of high mechanical strengths and causes no pollution, by adding a reactant to delayed activity selected from among calcium silicate, powdery water glass, a borate and a multivalent metal phosphate to a particular non-alkali aq. soln. of silicic acid. CONSTITUTION:A non-alkali aq. soln. of silicic acid (A) having a pH value of 1-3 obtd., e.g., by adding water glass to an acid soln., such as that of sulfuric acid, and subsequently forcibly agitating so as to remove the alkali component of the water glass is blended with a reactant of delayed activity (B) composed of at least one member selected from among calcium silicate, powdery water glass, a borate (e.g., sodium borate), a multivalent metal phosphate salt, such as calcium (hydrogen) phosphate, thereby obtaining the title chemical. |
