PURPOSE:To save space occupied by the device and to make the device compact by vertically arranging numerous liquid fuel combustion pipes as the combustion part of a combustor and fixing the upper end parts of the pipes with a cross member. CONSTITUTION:The combustion of fuel in the combustor 3 is carried out by the combustion of gas fuel flowed out from small holes 20 of a combustion pipe 19 and is simultaneously carried out by the combustion of evaporated liquid fuel from wicks 14 in the small holes 15 of the combustion pipes 13. The installation of the combustion pipe 19 for gas fuel allows the surplus unreacted hydrogen discharged from a fuel cell body to efficiently use energy without loss. And the cross member 16 fixing the end parts of the liquid fuel combustion pipes is to prevent vibration, and is a requisite mechanism especially for use exposed to vibration, such as a portable fuel cell.
