MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY SPECIFIC TO ANTI-HUMAN FIBRIN MONOMER, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, HYBRIDOMAS, AND IMMUNOASSAY METHOD

A native fibrin monomer formed in the early stage of blood coagulation under the action of active thrombin; a monoclonal antibody by which soluble fibrin can be detected; hybridomas; and an immunoassay method by which the early stage of blood coagulation can be quickly assayed at a high sensitivity with the use of the above monoclonal antibody. The native fibrin monomer showing no reactivity with fibrinogen (i.e., unsolubilized fibrin monomer contained in bodily fluids typified by blood) and the monoclonal antibody are constructed by the cell fusion method with the use of a fibrin monomer analog contained in the blood as an immunogen. As the fibrin monomer analog described above, it is preferable to use fibrinogen treated with bathroxobin (snake venom).
