<p>A tubular element for the circulation of fluid in solar energy collectors comprises a metal tube into contact with which is pressed a flat metal strip longitudinally oriented with the tube so that it bends around the tube to be in contact with the majority of the tube's circumference. The strip's width exceeds the tubes' circumference and excess strip is bent outwards so that a flat metal surface is formed providing maximum collecting area. The metal strip is held in position by a plastic trough, part-circular in cross-section, into which the tube and its surrounding strip are forced under pressure. The plastic trough is resilient and parts sufficiently to let the metal pieces enter.</p> |
