Method for generating steam and/or hot water to which a useful substance may or may not be added, by means of a closed vessel 1, in the bottom of which an electrical heating element 2 is installed and which communicates with steam outlet pipe 11 at the end of which an application apparatus accessory 15 may be connected and on which is mounted a solenoid valve 11 controlling the passage of the steam, characterised in that the cold water is injected, by means of a pump 17, into the steam outlet pipe so that it is heated and conveyed under pressure by the steam flowing in the said pipe.
