PURPOSE:To improve weatherability by constituting both two layers of adjacent metallic layers on a substrate of layers consisting of a rare earth-transition metal alloy and setting the natural potential difference between the two layers within 0.3V. CONSTITUTION:A protective layer, reading-out layer, recording layer, and protective layer are successively laminated by sputtering on the substrate made of a polycarbonate resin and another substrate of the same type as the type of said substrate is stuck thereto to form a recording medium. Both the reading-out layer and recording layer are formed of the layers consisting of the rare earth transition metal alloy and the natural potential difference between the two layers is set within 0.3V. The progression of an electrolytic corrosion reaction by the potential difference is thereby suppressed band the weatherability is improved. |
