PURPOSE:To achieve thermal transfer recording with high resolution and favorable ink transfer efficiency, by providing a coated layer comprising flaky barium sulfate as a main constituent, in a transfer recording sheet for thermal transfer recording. CONSTITUTION:An ink-receiving layer comprising flaky barium sulfate as a main constituent is provided on a base, whereby excellent receptivity to heat- fusible inks is displayed. The amount of flaky barium sulfate contained in the ink-receiving layer is 50-95wt%. If the amount is less than 40wt%, the effect of flaky barium sulfate on ink receptivity is insufficient, whereas it the amount exceeds 95wt%, strength of the coated layer is lowered. A transfer recoding sheet thus obtained is excellent in resolution and transfer efficiency. |
