PURPOSE:To eliminate the uneven film thickness by the jig traces formed at the time of forming a hard coat film by providing a rim of a specific width to the outside peripheral part of a plastic lens. CONSTITUTION:The rim part 4 having 0.1-5.0mm width is provided to part or the whole of the outer peripheral part of a body 3 of the plastic convex lens 2 consisting of an urethane-modified di(meth)acrylate (co)polymer of a halogenated bisphenol A and the hard coat film is formed on the lens surface. Said coat film is obtd. by gripping the lens 2 by means of; for example, 3-point supporting jigs 1 and subjecting the lens to dip coating and is preferably the film contg. >=10wt% org. silicon compd. expressed by formula and/or cured matter of the hydrolyzate thereof.
