This method is of the type in which each metal foil 3, 4 is wound with one 3a, 4a of its edgings overhanging the corresponding edges 4b, 3b, 5a, 5b of the other metal foil 4, 3 and of the insulating film 5, whilst its other edging 3b, 4b is arranged with a slight inset with respect to the corresponding edging 5b, 5a of the insulating film 5. It consists in simultaneously heating the metal to the melting point and bringing the turns of the overhanging edging 3a, 4a of each metal foil 3, 4 into mutual contact by relative displacement between the relevant edging and a heat source in contact with which the turns of this edging 3a, 4a are successively put down so as to be in contact with the adjacent turns, the rate of relative displacement being determined as a function of the temperature of the heat source and of the time required to melt the metal, without however running the risk of melting the insulating film 5. <IMAGE> |
