The lamp consists of a lamp shade with a holder for the shade and the light source. In order to provide on this basis a lamp which has a simple design and can be used both as drop-light and also as standard lamp whose main light-exit opening can be adjusted in any desired direction and which is intended to produce, in addition to a main light beam, a plurality of small secondary light beams for diffuse illumination of a room, the shade (1) is formed from a flexible tube (3) which is attached to the shade holder (2) as a base, contains the light source holder (3) and has a wall (5) which is folded in a concertina-like fashion transversely with respect to its longitudinal axis. The wall (5) is provided at least in a subarea with secondary light beam holes (6). <IMAGE>
