For a ski boot, a support device is proposed, which is active between the front-foot heel shell and the pivotable ankle cuff. This support device comprises a spring element. For adjusting the support effect of the spring element, a lever system is provided, at least one of the lever arms of which can be modified in its effective length. This lever system transmits the support force of the spring element to the support elements so that, by changing the transmission ratio, the support force of the support device can be varied smoothly.
