<p>PURPOSE:To lessen the drag created by the burble resistance of an air stream flowing backward from front fenders on the opposite sides of the front part of a body and to reduce aerodynamic resistance, by forming wing portions which extend continuously backward from the front fenders, and by tilting the lateral sides of the wing portions inward and backward. CONSTITUTION:In a three-wheeled vehicle, a body 1 having an engine compartment 1a in the front and a passenger room 1b in the rear is provided with two front wheels 2 and one rear wheel 3. In the front part of the body 1, front fenders 1c projecting laterally on the opposite sides of the engine compartment 1a are formed, and the front part of the body 1 is formed to be wide and the rear part thereof to be narrow. Moreover, wing portions 1d are formed on the lateral sides of the intermediate part of the body 1 in such a manner that they are bulged laterally from said lateral sides and extended continuously backward from the fenders 1c. The lateral sides 1e of the wing portions 1d are tilted inward and backward so that they are continuous to the lateral sides of the rear part of the body 1. By this construction, the burble resistance of an air stream flowing backward from the fenders 1c are lessened and thereby aerodynamic resistance is reduced.</p> |
