PURPOSE:To increase the gain effectively to facilitate installation and maintenance without the hindrance of wind presure by combining the magnetoresistance effect and the Goos-Hanchen effect to receive SHF waves with an optical method. CONSTITUTION:When laser light or a laser beam 4 is taken in at a prescribed angle from a light source 3, an electric conductivity sigma in mediums 2A and 2B is changed by arrival of an SHF wave 7, and therefore, a depth delta of the surface, namely, the quantity (d) of shift is changed. Through it is desirable that the electric conductivity sigma of mediums 2A and 2B is very sensitive to the magnetic field of the SHF wave 7, it is difficult generally to obtain high sensitivity. However, the light 4 is made incident and is reflected much in a medium 1 of a three-layered structure body 5 in this device, and the quantity (d) of shift is increased N times and is read in a photodetector 6 when the number of times of reflection is denoted as N. |
