PURPOSE:To enable catching of a paper and dropping of coins to be prevented from occurring and facilitate fitting and detachment of a cover and validation, by providing a paper catching preventing plate capable of being turned following a turning of a printer cover, and a coin dropping preventing plate provided with a means for validation and capable of being moved forward and rearward. CONSTITUTION:Dropping of a coin into a printer can be prevented by pushing out a coin dropping preventing plate 17 in the direction of a printer cutter 23. To perform validation, the plate 17 is returned to an original position thereof, whereby validation can be performed. A printer cover 10 is opened and closed in the case of replacement of a paper, replacement of an ink ribbon or the like. In such a case, the printer cover 10 turns on a hook part 20, and a paper catching preventing plate 12 is moved as indicated by dotted lines following the turning of the cover 10, with a tip part of the plate 12 making contact with the cutter 23, whereby the cover 10 can be easily opened. At the time of closing the cover 10, the cover 10 is fitted to an upper casing 9 with the hook part 20 as a fulcrum, and the paper catching preventing plate 12 is manually pushed in the direction of an arrow 16, whereby catching of the paper can be prevented from occurring. |
