PURPOSE:To reduce an installation space, to simplify wiring between elements, and to reduce the cost of a preheater, by a method wherein the PTC element of the preheater of a Diesel engine and a fixed resistance are constructed integrally. CONSTITUTION:A PTC element 6 and a fixed resistance 7 are connected to a glow plug relay circuit 3. The PTC element 6 and the fixed resistance 7 are electrically interconnected in parallel to be constituted in a one-piece. The PTC element 6 is connected between an upper electrode 11, connected to the glow plug relay circuit 3, and a lower electrode 12 connected to a glow plug 9, and the fixed resistance 7 is connected between a cental electrode 13 and a conductive case 14. The central electrode 13 is connected to the upper electrode 12, and thereby the PTC element 6 and the fixed resistance 7 are interconnected in parallel. This permits reduction in an installation space, simplification of wiring between elements, and reduction in the cost of a preheater. |
